Support safe abortion in Poland!

In 2021 alone, Women on Web has responded to over 10,000 messages from Poland under the new draconian abortion law.

In February 2021, a bill came into effect that eliminated fetal indications from Poland's list of exceptions to access abortion care. This means Poland has placed a near-total ban on abortion and the only allowed exceptions to the ban on abortion are in cases of rape or incest or when the mother's health is in danger. Doctors who carry out abortions can face up to 3 years in prison.

Women on Web will, however, continue to assist Polish people by providing postal access to the abortion pills and confidential support by our helpdesk. Women on Web will also continue to provide free abortion pills to Polish individuals with fetal malformations and provide close supervision to anyone needing this service. For more information, email us at info@womenonweb.org or if you need help ending an unwanted pregnancy, please visit our I need an abortion pages.

In the past months, we have received support from volunteers and solidarity emails and cannot express enough gratitude. We know that we are not alone in this fight and thus, we will continue to challenge these human rights violations until safe abortion care is accessible for all women and pregnant people with respect and dignity.

To help us support those in Poland affected by this bill, please visit the Donations page on our website.
